What is meant by the Fire Element? Viewers(2)

May all beings residing in their respective dwellings sleep soundly and dream
pleasure dreams! Being blessed in glory, may they wake early in the morning with auspiciousness!
May they be able to abstain from evil deeds, which lead to the four
woeful abodes. May they be able to fulfill the thirty perfections incessantly and attain
spiritual maturity stage by stage!
Taking into consideration the situation of the present day, we will find that the
(Bharamacariya) moral virtues, namely, loving-kindness (mettā), compassion (karuna)
and sympathetic joy (Mudita) appear to have ceased to flourish, to have dried up in
the human mind. The fire (element) generated by beings through such cessation of
virtues incinerates even the virtuous, who thus find living a good moral life difficult.

पजा सब्बा सुसयन्तु वुत्तहन्तु सुमंगलम् दुसेतुं दुग्गतिं गमिम पुरेतुं सब्बपरमिम

अपने-अपने निवास में रहने वाले सभी प्राणी सुखपूर्वक सोएँ और सुखमय स्वप्न देखें! वे वैभव से धन्य होकर, सुबह-सुबह शुभता के साथ जागें! वे बुरे कर्मों से दूर रहने में सक्षम हों, जो चार दुःखदायी अपाय की ओर ले जाते हैं। वे तीस पुण्यक्रिया वत्थु को निरंतर पूरा करने में सक्षम हों और चरण दर चरण आध्यात्मिक परिपक्वता प्राप्त करें! वर्तमान समय की स्थिति पर विचार करते हुए, हम पाएंगे कि (ब्रह्मचर्य) नैतिक गुण, अर्थात्, प्रेम-दया (मेत्ता), करुणा (करुणा) और सहानुभूतिपूर्ण आनंद (मुदिता) मानव मन में पनपना बंद हो गए हैं, सूख गए हैं। सद्गुणों का इस प्रकार नष्ट होने से प्राणियों में जो अग्नि (तत्व) उत्पन्न होती है, वह सद्गुणी व्यक्तियों को भी भस्म कर देती है, जिससे उनके लिए अच्छा नैतिक जीवन जीना कठिन होता जा रहा है।
